Good product that keeps growing on you

The paste had nice control as a pre-styler and a decent hold as a post-styler, but its ability to be used as a dry-shampoo was really the thing on-par with the other, great Blumaan styling products.

However, I was surprised to discover that I could achieve hairstyles like the short quiff - that I couldn't even come close to before. And that is what really sold me on this.

That said, my hair does end up looking frizzy and overly dry some of the time, so I don't use it every day - especially as a pre-styler on the 1st day of washing hair.

Another flaw is the smell. Rubbing it against the palms to break it down gives it a weird, clinical smell that feels unpleasant.

Overall, I still want to give it a perfect score because of my hair being able to explore new worlds of the style.

Favorite dry shampoo

The dry shampoo paste was a genius idea. I only wash my hair every other day to keep it healthy and reduce oil production, so I used a dry shampoo powder between days. Problem was that I always needed to add more product to re-style my hair. This paste perfectly fixed that problem. The "shampoo" function does just the right amount of cleaning/mattifying, it smells fantastic, and the texture it adds is great.

Surprisingly effective

Not sure what I expected other than a more Matte finish in the end after not shampooing for a while, but wow! The result was less oily hair with a nice finish skin to the monarch matte paste as a prestyle product.
